Gate News bot reports, according to Bloomberg, that Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that his granddaughter speaks fluent Chinese because her nanny is from Beijing.
"I mentioned before that some of my close relatives are learning Chinese; I am referring to my granddaughter, whose nanny comes from Beijing. She can communicate fluently in Chinese with her nanny," Putin said during a meeting with foreign reporters in St. Petersburg early Thursday.
Putin stated that as the economic ties between the two countries deepen and the annual trade volume reaches 240 billion US dollars, the interest of Russians in learning Chinese is growing increasingly strong.
