BioSig merger completes shift from $16B cardiac market to digital asset infrastructure.
Tokenized gold market hits $1B+ in 2025 amid rising demand for stable assets.
Streamex, a digital asset infrastructure company, has rolled out its blockchain-powered platform for gold tokenization following the completion of a merger with BioSig Technologies (NASDAQ: BSGM). The merge is a strategic move from medtech to real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, positioning Streamex as one of the earliest companies to offer gold-backed digital assets by a publicly listed company.
The new platform enables the issuance, trading, and custody of tokenized gold under full U.S. regulatory oversight. The tokens, each representing fractional ownership of physical gold held in off-chain vaults, aim to provide users with borderless, auditable, and programmable access to monetary-grade bullion.
Former Cardio Innovator BioSig Completes Shift to Digital Finance
BioSig Technologies, which was once involved in cardiovascular health solutions, finished shifting over to Streamex’s digital finance ecosystem earlier in 2025.
Before the merger, BioSig had come up with the PURE EP System, which is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive electrophysiology signal processing platform for use in cardiac ablation procedures. Based on company information, the global electrophysiology industry is expected to be worth $16 billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 11.2%.
Following the restructuring, Streamex is listed on the ticker symbol BSGM and has shut down all biotech operations.
Gold-Backed Tokens Go Live as Streamex Secures Broker-Dealer
Streamex’s blockchain platform facilitates tokenization of physical gold stored in safe-guarded vaults with real-time on-chain auditability and integration within decentralized (DeFi) and traditional finance (TradFi) systems. Each gold token is collateralized by verifiable physical reserves, but no sponsors of vaulting or audit partners have been made public.
For ease of compliance, Streamex has invested in a FINRA- and SEC-registered broker-dealer, which enables it to provide regulated issuance, trading, and custody services. The vertical integration allows Streamex to have end-to-end control over tokenized gold products in accordance with U.S. financial regulations.
Asset-Backed Tokens Surge as Gold Goes Digital in 2025
The launch of the product comes in the midst of growing global interest in tokenized assets. According to industry reports, overall value of tokenized gold reached over $1 billion in 2025. Rising inflation, currency volatility, and declining trust in fiat currencies have driven demand for stable, asset-backed digital products.
Tokenization is the process of minting electronic tokens on a blockchain to represent ownership of physical assets, such as gold. A token may represent a gram or more of physical gold, with transfer and ownership recorded into a distributed ledger.

To date, Streamex has garnered more than $1.1 billion in development and growth funding for infrastructure. The firm describes its model as one of regulatory alignment and ownership of infrastructure in order to allow it to support both retail- and institutional-grade tokenized gold products.
