BlockBeats news, on September 5th, according to The Block, Alex Blania, co-founder of Worldcoin and CEO of Tools for Humanity, stated during the 2024 Korea Blockchain Week event that the current focus of Worldcoin is still on the large-scale distribution of iris scanning ‘Orbs’ devices to expand the project’s scale and improve its practicality. He also mentioned that the next generation Orb device’s new updates are expected to be released in the coming weeks. Alex Blania said: ‘I think, fundamentally, similar to other networks we’ve seen in the past few decades, such as Paypal or the Social Web like Facebook, they only become useful once they reach a certain scale. So everything we care about now is the global distribution and the number of users who have verified and used the service.’
