The Trump family’s crypto project WLFI hires renowned litigation lawyer Tom Clare in the Sun Yuchen lawsuit case.
Odaily Planet Daily News reports that the Trump family’s crypto project, World Liberty Financial, has hired well-known litigation attorney Tom Clare in the lawsuit involving Sun Yuchen. Clare Locke LLP serves as the representative law firm.
According to information, Tom Clare mainly handles commercial litigation and defamation matters, and is particularly active in legal disputes related to the media and technology. In the crypto industry, he has attracted attention for representing project parties or companies in disputes such as defamation and contract disputes. In 2023, Tom Clare led a defamation lawsuit against Fox News, accusing it of spreading false statements about the “Dominion machine fraud” in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The case reached a $787.5 million settlement before trial and has been hailed as one of the largest publicly disclosed defamation settlements involving U.S. media companies.
Earlier reports said that World Liberty Financial has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Florida court, accusing Sun Yuchen of defamation, and claiming that he launched “systematic pressure actions” against the project.
