Bitcoin 2026 Conference Announces Afroman as Keynote Speaker
After Afroman secured a milestone victory in the fight to defend free speech, confirms attendance at the Bitcoin 2026 conference
NASHVILLE, Tennessee - March 30, 2026: The Bitcoin Conference (The Bitcoin Conference) today announced that acclaimed rapper, a cultural pioneer, and a free-speech defender Afroman will attend the Bitcoin 2026 conference to be held April 27 to 29 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in Las Vegas.
Afroman is known worldwide for the 2001 hit song “Because I Got High,” but over the past three years, he has thrown himself into a legal battle that goes beyond the music itself. In 2022, law enforcement searched his residence with no results, and Afroman then launched a counterattack by creating music using surveillance footage. The move prompted seven officers to sue him for defamation and seek nearly $4 million in damages. Earlier this month, a jury found in Afroman’s favor. At the courthouse entrance, he said: “This is not my victory, but America’s victory.”
This journey is highly aligned with Bitcoin’s core.
Bitcoin has become a platform for individuals to resist excessive interference and pursue financial and speech sovereignty. Afroman’s recent legal battle, challenging authority through music and memes, aligns closely with the Bitcoin community’s spirit of pursuing transparency and personal sovereignty.
BTC Inc. CEO Brandon Green said: “Bitcoin is not just about money—it’s about defending freedom. We’re honored to stand together with those who are willing to fight back.”
Afroman’s participation in Bitcoin 2026 will extend beyond the stage. The U.S. flag suit he wore during his legal fight will be exhibited in the conference’s art exhibition unit “Relics of a Revolution,” aiming to explore artistic expression that confronts entrenched power. The suit is being auctioned through the Scarce.city platform (link). For the complete auction catalog, refer to: .
Bitcoin 2026 will bring together more than 30,000 attendees worldwide and more than 500 speaker guests. For more information, visit 2026.b.tc .
