[Robinhood Plans to Launch Private Investment Fund for Retail Investors in U.S. Stock Market] Robinhood (stock code HOOD) plans to launch a publicly traded fund - Robinhood Ventures Fund I, to provide investment opportunities in private companies (including non-listed IPO companies) for U.S. retail investors. Robinhood stated that for a long time, private investment opportunities have primarily been available to the wealthy and institutions, excluding ordinary investors, and this fund will change that landscape, allowing ordinary investors to participate in elite investment fields. Robinhood has submitted a preliminary registration statement for a public offering of the fund to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), planning to trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker RVI. The company stated that the fund will hold a long-term portfolio and cover multiple industries to address the trend of declining numbers of public companies and significant growth in the number and value of private companies in recent years, with the total valuation of private companies in the U.S. now exceeding $10 trillion.
