Binance support upgrade network Optimism and Metal DAO
Binance announced that it will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of Optimism (OP) and Metal DAO (MTL) as the two networks prepare for upgrades and hard fork on December 3, 2025. The exchange will halt services from December 2 to ensure user safety and maintain stability throughout the transition process.
These upgrades aim to improve network performance, but may cause short-term volatility and affect liquidity when deposits/withdrawals are temporarily suspended. CEO Changpeng Zhao stated that user safety is the top priority and all information will be updated through official channels.
Experts believe that disruptions like this are normal in Layer-2 upgrades, helping to increase long-term sustainability. Market data shows OP at $0.34, with a market cap of $635.38 million, and the network performance after the upgrade may support future growth.
