An event in the Solana Accelerate APAC series in Shenzhen was canceled early after local police arrived to inspect due to overcrowding, raising new concerns about the crackdown on crypto in China.

According to the South China Morning Post, the organizers stated that the cancellation of the final hackathon was to “ensure public safety.” However, the presence of police has raised concerns among many participants about the government tightening activities related to blockchain and digital assets.

Previously, the People's Bank of China announced that it would coordinate with law enforcement agencies to address speculative activities in crypto.
