Pi Network Testnet Hits v23 as Upgrade Moves Toward Mainnet

Pi Network has reached an important milestone in its technical roadmap. The project’s testnet has now been upgraded to protocol version 23. This brings it one step closer to the long awaited mainnet launch. The update, confirmed by community posts and developer announcements. It shows steady progress in the project’s infrastructure development. Over the past few weeks, Pi Network has been moving through a series of upgrades, starting from version 19. The community had been told that the system would gradually progress toward version 23. Which covering Testnet, Testnet2 and eventually the mainnet.

Earlier updates included a shift to v22. This introduced upgrades in blockchain APIs and core versions to prepare for this bigger step. Now Testnet 1 has officially reached v23. It signals that the team is ready to begin the next phase. Testnet2 is expected to follow soon. Possibly within a week before the transition extends to the mainnet. Community members have shared excitement across social platforms. Many see this upgrade as proof that the project is moving beyond the early testing stages into a more advanced development phase.

What the Upgrade Means for Pi Network

Pi Network is building its blockchain to allow users to mine. And use the Pi token in a fully decentralized ecosystem. The step toward protocol v23 means that the testnet environment is now aligned with the technical requirements. That is needed for a stable and secure mainnet. Upgrades at this stage often include fixes in consensus algorithms. Including transaction handling and compatibility across different network layers

By advancing to v23, Pi Network is ensuring its infrastructure can handle real world demand. When the mainnet goes live. For users, the immediate changes may not be highly visible. But the move is critical for long term adoption. Developers and validators on the network will be able to test functions under the new protocol. It identifies potential issues and strengthens the chain before the final launch.

Mapping Progress and Community Activity

Alongside the upgrade, community members have noted progress in account mapping. Several Pi pioneers have confirmed that accounts from the testnet are being mapped successfully. This process is important for ensuring that users who mined Pi in earlier phases. They can transition their balances into the mainnet environment when it becomes available. Community leaders have been quick to celebrate these developments

According to posts, several new users have successfully mapped their accounts in recent weeks. This demonstrates ongoing backend work to support a smooth migration from testnet to mainnet. The progress has also silenced some of the doubts that critics have raised in the past. Skeptics have often questioned whether Pi Network would deliver on its promises. With the latest upgrades, supporters argue that the project is proving its capability.

Looking Ahead

The next step in Pi Network’s roadmap is the upgrade of Testnet2. Once that is complete, attention will shift to preparing the mainnet. The team has not announced a fixed date for mainnet activation. But the current momentum suggests that steady progress is being made. For Pi’s large global community, this is a critical period

Many users have been mining Pi tokens through the mobile app for years. Waiting for the day when they can freely use or trade them. The move to v23 brings that vision closer. If the upgrades continue without major issues. Pi Network could finally transition into a fully operational blockchain with real utility. Until then, the community remains engaged. And celebrating each milestone along the path to mainnet.

Pi still has 92 billion that hasn't flowed into the market. At a rate of 5 million being dumped per day, it will take 50 years to exhaust it. The calculation formula shows that 92000000000 divided by 5000000 equals 18400 days, and 18400 divided by 365 equals 50.41 years!!!!!!!!!!
