TRON falls 60% gas fees to boost network activity

On August 29, 2025, the TRON network implemented a historic gas fee reduction, lowering the energy price from 210 sun to 100 sun (−60%), bringing transaction costs to the lowest level since January 2021.

This move helps the average transaction fee fall sharply from 1.55 USD (28/8) to 0.59 USD (8/9), the lowest level since April 2024. Although the daily network fee revenue of the Super Representatives has dropped to 5 million USD ( from 13.9 million USD previously ), the community hopes that the reduction in costs will stimulate activity, especially in stablecoin and microtransactions.

In the previous phase, each time there was a fall in gas, it was accompanied by a significant increase in the number of transactions on the TRON network.
